Horky named to Robinson Memorial Hospital Foundation Board of Directors Aurora resident has been a hospital volunteer, Auxiliary officer
Ravenna, Ohio, May 27, 2010 - The Robinson Memorial Hospital Foundation recently appointed Karen Horky of Aurora to its Board of Directors. She will serve through April 30, 2013, and be eligible for reappointment.
Horky has volunteered at Robinson Memorial Hospital for more than eight years, with posts in the Radiology Department and, currently, as a front desk escort and dispatcher. She has also volunteered as a Lifeline installer for The Auxiliary of Robinson Memorial Hospital.
Horky has been a member of the Auxiliary for many years, serving as president from 2006 to 2007. She has also served as the Auxiliary's vice president of membership.
Horky previously worked at Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry in Cleveland as director of Partners in Placement, a program designed to place persons with disabilities and ex-offenders in employment opportunities. She was also employed as Vice President of North Coast Container Corp. in Cleveland.
Horky has lived in Aurora for 14 years with her husband, Richard.
The Foundation board also recently reappointed the following members for another three-year term: Joan A. Kropp, of Garrettsville; Neil Mann, Jr., of Ravenna; Ruth Saltzman, RN, of Kent; Thomas Strachan, MD, of Akron; and Bill White, of Ravenna.
