Led by a team of physicians trained at some of the most recognized cardiovascular facilities in the region, Robinson Memorial Hospital's services include diagnosis, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation for heart disease, stroke, aneurysms and other cardiovascular disorders.
Intravascular Ultrasound Imaging (IVUS) IVUS is an exciting new way of visualizing vessel interiors using patterns of sound waves to measure vessel diameter and search for blockages. Originally used in Robinson Memorial Hospital's Cath Lab, IVUS has become a standard part of Robinson Memorial Hospital's Cardiovascular Services. IVUS is accurate and non-invasive. Most exciting of all, the high level of definition provided means problem areas can be pinpointed more quickly.

The Heart Failure Clinic Robinson Memorial Hospital, in conjunction with Northeast Ohio Cardiovascular Specialists, has introduced a service to support your doctor in managing your heart failure condition. The Heart Failure Clinic is located on the first floor of the Robinson Professional Center on the hospital's main campus in Ravenna.
The goal of the Heart Failure Clinic is to educate patients about medications, lifestyle and dietary adjustments and strategies for monitoring their symptoms at home. The Heart Failure Clinic also educates patients about when to contact their health care provider so they can avoid worsening symptoms that may lead to hospitalization.
In addition, patients will be evaluated to determine if they may benefit from different medications, doses and/or from special pacing options now available for patients with persistent symptoms of heart failure.
Communicating with your primary care physician The Heart Failure Clinic does not replace your primary care physician. Your doctor will receive a copy of your assessment and any medication adjustments or recommendations for further follow-up.
If you do not have a primary care physician, you will be given a referral to establish a relationship with a primary care physician.
Scheduling an appointment at the Heart Failure Clinic Patients interested in treatment at the Heart Failure Clinic should discuss referral with their primary physician. For more information, or to make a referral, please contact the Heart Failure Clinic by calling (330) 297-8295.
The Pacemaker Clinic Ongoing monitoring is an essential part of the care of patients with a pacemaker or a defibrillator. Technicians evaluate and monitor the function of devices implanted in people who have difficulty with their heart rhythms. Pacemakers are implanted to help the heart beat at a rate that is best for the patient. Defibrillators are implanted in patients who experience heart rhythms that are too fast and potentially fatal. These devices can detect such rhythms and treat them with a shock or other appropriate therapies.
Technicians in the pacemaker clinic perform tests to evaluate whether the devices are functioning properly, and are also able to determine how much life is left in the battery of each device. In addition, these devices can record samples of the patient's heart rhythm. Using such information, technicians can collaboratively devise a plan of care with the doctor and the patient in order to optimize the patient's health and well-being.
