Children's at Robinson is an inpatient pediatric unit brought to the community by a partnership between Akron Children's Hospital and Robinson Memorial Hospital.
Children's at Robinson features a playroom and eight patient rooms big enough for one parent to spend the night. The 4,700-square-foot unit also includes a treatment room where patients can receive "convenient care" in an outpatient setting.
Children's At Robinson provides laboratory work, IV fluid treatments and medications. The unit also provides care for asthma attacks, dehydration, infections, jaundice and a variety of uncomplicated pediatric conditions.
Trauma victims under age 17 and all critical care patients are transferred to Akron Children's Hospital via ambulance, helicopter or Children's Transport Services.
