Dr. Tom Bartsokas obtained his medical degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and master’s degree in exercise physiology from University of Wisconsin, La Crosse. He possesses a certificate of added qualifications in sports medicine. Dr. Bartsokas also provided medical support to the 1996 and 1998 U.S. Olympic Teams. He is currently team physician for Kent State University athletics and Ravenna High School.
Dr. Bartsokas enjoys helping adolescents and adults make exercise a consistent part of their daily routines in an effort to promote wellness and move away from sedentary lifestyles. In addition to physical benefits, Dr. Bartsokas also emphasizes the mental benefits of exercise.
A former competitive long-distance runner, Dr. Bartsokas maintains his own physical fitness by running, swimming and cycling coupled with regular resistance training.
